Kat is a documentary filmmaker and producer currently working for a production and distribution company in Zurich, Switzerland. Before that she worked at Schweizer Radio and Fernsehen and directed and produced her first feature length documentary for SRF. She holds an MFA in Film Directing, her thesis focusing on the future of financing independent film in a changing market. She loves pitching film ideas to potential collaborators and putting teams together. She loves films and stories with humor and a bit of an edge and is convinced that truth is always stranger than fiction, which is why she has dedicated her professional life to documentary storytelling. She is convinced filmmakers and scientists are destined to become good collaborators and friends because they are equally dedicated to their craft.
