SciFilmIt is an association that brings the world of science to the public using film. We help scientists tell their stories in captivating ways and we bring the scientists and their films to the public with cinema events and festivals that celebrate the accessibility of science. We give the public a medium in which they can engage with science and film in a new way, where their opinion is listened to.
We began in 2016 with our first science film hackathon and cinema event (Under the name Exposure Science Film Hackathon). Given its success and the passionate interest shown by the scientists, artists and the cinema going public, we went bigger and as of 2022 we have created 26 events that have bridged the worlds of science and film.
